Chase scene camera shots

Today we looked into the chase scenes more to find out what type of camera shots are mainly used in chases.
We watched a selection of films including;

* Bourne Ultimatum

*B13

*Kidulthood

* And other As media films produced by other students

We  have noticed that we will have to make sure we capture a lot of footage in order for our chase scene to work. The reason we need to capture a lot of footage is because in all chase scenes, their is a vast amount of editing that has to be done in order for it to be completed.

The majority of the shots we saw today were;

* two shot
*long shot
*point of view
*close up
*extreme close up
*high angled
*tracking
*very long shot

In nearly all of the sequences we watched, they had certain shots e.g. close up of legs running towards the camera to show the speed of the chase.

The films also made it easy to distigunish who the characters were and their roles. They did this by dressing them in contrasting clothes to one another and making their body language opposite.

Today for our task, we decided to start designing our film company logo. To help us do this, we first looked at different companies logos e.g. Warner Brothers, Disney and Paramount. We found out that the logo needs to have specific features so that it is recognisable such as;
*Catchy
*Bold
*Attention Seeking
*Colours which help represent the company and the type of films which they make.

At the top of this blog, you will be able to see that we have designed our company logo using the computer software Live Type.

*First of all, we researched other film companies and looked at what features they made their logo have.

*Next we discussed our own ideas and what we wanted our name to be and what style we wanted it to represent.

*We think our logo is bold, catchy, interesting and has moving graphics ( the movement cannot be seen in the image above)

*We decided to get our name by mixing all 3 of our initials together J, M and A.

*Choosing the design of using the screens was quite easy, we all looked at different styles and images and all agreed on the screens because they were catchy, they moved and it looks professional.

*Our end result is pleasing and we are happy with it

Conventions of Title Sequences

MEAN GIRLS

It had the title of the film at the beginning of the film. This was followed by a short introduction. the credits ran through the end of the introduction to the start of the film. The colours of the title were pink and white, in a bold font. The credit colours were also pink and white, in a bold font. However, the production team's credits were in blue, green, yellow and white.
types of shots- close-up, two shot, point of view, long shot.
As the film is for teenagers, it had many different types of people. One way which was used to distinguish these different types of people was by their clothes.

TEN THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU

The titles at the beginning followed directly by the credits. Both were shown in 90's colours which are flourescent and bright. the font looked like it was someones handwriting. they had old fashsioned cars and the music changed depending on the different type of person.
